Privacy and sharing

Your files.
Clear privacy choices.

What Arkus Raise records, who can see it, and how sharing works. Last reviewed 1 November 2026.

You choose whether to share reading activity.

A shared pitch or investor room, a collection of PDFs, asks before recording reading activity. You can decline and keep reading. Use Change privacy choice on the page whenever you want to change your answer. Declining stops future reading activity from being shared. It does not delete activity already recorded.

What the sender can see.

When you allow reading activity, a pitch or room file records time on each page while that page is visible and the browser has your focus. An investor room also records which documents you open or download. Your room choice applies across its files. The sender can see this activity and any email address you provided. Reading activity does not show whether someone intends to invest.

The sender may require an email address to open the material. You can still decline reading activity. The application stores the address you enter; it does not check that the address belongs to you. A small cookie remembers your access and privacy choice for up to 14 days, including when you decline reading activity.

Private files and shared links.

PDFs are stored privately. The application checks your shared link and access before opening a file. Anyone who receives a working link may be able to open its files, depending on the sender’s settings. Keep the address within its intended audience. The sender can set an expiry date, replace the link, or turn off access.

Turning off downloads removes the application’s Download PDF option and blocks its download request. Someone who can view material may still take screenshots or copy it from their browser. Download settings in an investor room apply to each file separately.

What is kept, and for how long.

Reading visits and reading activity become eligible for removal after 90 days. Removal runs during normal reader activity or when the owner uses the cleanup control. It may happen later if the application is unused.

Documents and their earlier versions, sharing settings, bookings, campaigns, contacts, workspace notes, connection setup choices, email test results, and records of account actions are kept to run the service. A booking includes your name, email address, chosen time, and any note you add. Records of calendar updates and email submissions are also kept to help avoid repeated bookings or messages. Contact the person who shared the material or booking page about their stored records.

Booking with a connected calendar.

If the host connects Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, Arkus Raise checks busy times on that account’s primary calendar before offering a time. It creates a private event in that calendar with the meeting title, time, your name, email address, and any note you add. The application does not add you as a calendar guest or create a video meeting link.

The host can disconnect their calendar. This stops future calendar checks and updates but leaves existing events in that calendar. A cancellation in Arkus Raise tries to remove the linked event; the host is told if removal cannot be confirmed. Changes made directly in a calendar do not update the saved booking in Arkus Raise.

A downloadable calendar file lets you add a meeting to your own calendar. Later changes do not update that file automatically.

Email and connected services.

When email is set up, requested link emails and booking messages are submitted through the sender’s selected service: Resend, Postmark, SendGrid, or an email service approved by the site owner. That service receives the recipient’s address and message contents. An email service accepting a message does not guarantee it reaches the inbox.

Calendar sign-in details, saved email service keys and Notion integration secrets are encrypted in the application’s database. Connecting a service lets the application use it for the functions described above. The connected service also handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Contacts and Notion.

Workspace editors can keep campaign plans, contact details, next steps, follow-up dates and notes. These records are not visible to people who only have a shared document link. A contact type such as investor or advisor does not grant account access or permission to files.

When an editor explicitly sends a saved contact to a connected Notion database, Notion receives its name, firm, email, contact type, campaign, stage, next action, follow-up date, workspace notes and record identifiers. The sender reviews that action first. A later send updates the mapped columns in Notion; changes made there do not flow back into Arkus Raise. Disconnecting does not remove previously copied records or recall an already submitted request.

Contact exports include workspace notes. Archiving a contact or campaign keeps its records and lets the team restore it later. Ask the workspace owner about stored records and any copies in connected services.

Hosting and account access.

Sites hosts the application, stores the PDFs privately, and saves activity and bookings in a database. Arkus Raise does not add advertising trackers or track readers across different websites. Hosting and sign-in services may keep their own records needed to run the service.
